Monday, October 19, 2026 is Professional Development Day! Throughout the day, we are offering 3 workshops led by Jeremy Schifeling from Job Insiders, a website development workshop led by KLAB, professional headshots, and one-on-one resume review sessions with Dr. Amy Fish.
Students should bring their [charged] laptop to all of the workshops in order to participate in the hands-on work that will be happening during each one. Students attending the Website Development Workshop will also need to activate their [free] Adobe Creative Cloud license before the event.
For co-curricular credit, please attend one of the 4 workshops. We encourage you to attend as many as you can; however, only one co-curricular credit is available for this event. The headshot & resume sessions are quick drop-in sessions. These do not qualify for co-curricular credit, but are great resources to take advantage of!

Event Description: Learn how to create a website that best presents you to the world. We’ll work on what should be highlighted on your website to showcase the best version of you – remember, this isn’t a resume. You’ll learn how to showcase both your work and your personality all in one place for employers to find. Be sure to bring your laptop to follow along as we cover how to set up your homepage, how to link your resume and portfolio (or anything else you’d like to present), and how to add contact information.
This workshop will focus on Adobe Portfolio, and will require students to have an Adobe Creative Cloud license – free to all BU students! Activate your Adobe Creative Cloud license here before the event.

Meet the Photographers
Boston-based photographer Jake Belcher brings a photojournalistic eye to every studio and location shoot. He works closely with clients to capture authentic, striking imagery. “I view every portrait session as a collaboration. I want you to walk away feeling confident, empowered, and excited about your new headshot.”
Kelly Davidson is a Boston-based photographer and BU alum who specializes in visual storytelling for universities, rock bands, corporations, small brands, and just about everyone in between.
