Sample Pathway
Below is an example of a four-year plan of a College of General Studies student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). Students will work with their CGS academic advisors and the CAS sociology department to plan their own pathway to a sociology degree.

*Sociology majors who have completed CGS SS 103 and CGS SS 104, each with a grade of ‘C’ or higher, will receive credit for completing the introductory sociology course, CAS SO 100 Principles in Sociology.
**Choose your electives carefully to fulfill any remaining BU Hub requirements. You will find a list of all of the courses that carry Hub units on the University’s BU Hub website. External courses are not eligible for Hub general education credit. Sociology courses by HUB Unit can be found here.
