Dean's Welcome

A Welcome Letter from Dean Natalie McKnight

Dear Parents and Families,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the College of General Studies (CGS)! I want to encourage you to partner with us in helping your students have the richest, most rewarding undergraduate experience possible while they are at CGS and when they continue into the college from which they will graduate. You and your students are now part of the CGS family, a very supportive and extensive group of faculty, staff, current students and alumni that students can benefit from throughout their academic careers and beyond.

We hope you will use this webpage to find information on our academic and co-curricular programs, as well as tips on planning for the gap semester, move-in, studying in London, engaging in undergraduate research projects, and more.

We welcome your feedback on your experiences with CGS, and we also hope you will take advantage of the many resources and events offered by BU’s Parent and Family Programs.

Thank you for joining us as part of the CGS family—we owe our students to you!

Best wishes,

Natalie McKnight, Dean, CGS
