BS in Education & Human Development

Sample Pathway

The Education & Human Development major is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in education, mental health counseling, youth justice, deaf studies or design-based education. In this program, students learn how to make positive change in schools, neighborhoods, community agencies, and legal and health care systems.

The BS in Education & Human Development draws on applied psychology, child and human development, and social-cultural research and theory and can be built around one of the Specialization Pathways (Youth Development & Justice; Child & Adolescent Mental Health; Deaf Studies/Education; Teaching and Learning; and Educational Design). Below is an example of a four-year plan of a College of General Studies student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Development through Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development.
