Early Decision Checklist

September may seem far away, but there’s still a lot to do after being admitted. Below are important next steps for you to take before then.

Create your BU Google Email Account. This is an important step to creating your student record with the University and should be done as soon as possible after submitting your enrollment deposit. (You should have received an email after you submitted your enrollment deposit from ithelp@bu.edu with these steps)

Join the BU Class of 2030 Facebook Group
Attend our Admitted Student Virtual Event
Order your BU swag and show off your Terrier pride!
Visit the student life section to learn more about life at BU
Accept your Financial Assistance award (if applicable)
Submit your $650 enrollment deposit by the date indicated in your decision letter
Withdraw all applications to other colleges or universities
Send us your mid-semester senior grades

Submit your New Student Housing Application (watch for an email in April with instructions)
Register for University Orientation after May 1
Submit your BU Alert contact information
Sign up for the optional First-Year Student Outreach Project (FYSOP)
Ask your school to send a final transcript showing proof of your graduation
Submit your International Baccalaureate scores (if applicable)
Submit your Advanced Placement scores (if applicable)
Review BU’s Community Health & Safety protocol and submit your Immunization & Health History forms (watch for an email from Student Health Services with instructions).
Schedule a visa appointment at the US Embassy (international students only)
Take advantage of the value packages through the BU Campus Store to order your extra-long sheets and other dorm essentials (you can do this up until mid-August)

Complete the online Orientation course (more information shared via email)
Engage virtually with Orientation Leaders and your peers (watch for an email with instructions from Orientation)
Contact your future roommate
Submit payment for first-semester charges
Watch for an email and complete the AlcoholEdu for College® and Sexual Harassment & Discrimination Prevention online courses
Attend FYSOP (if applicable)
Move into your dorm room
Attend the mandatory International Student Program orientation session (international students only)
