Leslie Friday is a staff writer for BU Today and Bostonia magazine, writing about anything under the BU sun, but she especially enjoys who’s hanging out in the shade. Past journalism gigs include the Brookline TAB, Needham Times, Newton TAB, the Tico Times, in San José, Costa Rica, and the Boston Globe. Before making a career switch to journalism, Leslie tried her hand at cultural anthropology, nonprofit social services, and the Peace Corps. Her bachelor’s degree is in anthropology and Spanish from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She’s a former Terrier, with a master’s degree in print journalism and a concentration in radio broadcast from the College of Communication. Leslie is fluent in Spanish, dabbles in French, and wields a mean market conversation in Pulaar. You can drop her a line (in any language) at firstname.lastname@example.org, follow her on Twitter at @lesliefriday, or connect with her on LinkedIn.
