English Proficiency
To be enrolled in summer courses, you need to show evidence of proficiency in English. Please work with the international office at your home university or your advising agent to present them with evidence of proficiency that meets the required levels listed below.
- 84 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT)
- 7 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
- Minimum of 110 on the Duolingo English Test
An exception is made for students who are currently studying at an institution with English as the primary language of instruction.

Please note: students who wish to enroll in Metropolitan College Administrative Sciences graduate courses should contact the Summer Term office regarding specific requirements for those courses.
