Mission Statement:

The primary objective of the Reproductive Justice Student Alliance (RJSA) is to establish a network of public health students and professionals interested in reproductive justice (RJ). The goal of RJSA is to bring together students from different disciplines, within and outside public health, who are all working toward the same goal of achieving reproductive justice. The RJ framework includes the rights to have children, not to have children, to parent with dignity, and to live free from violence. RJ also includes control over timing of pregnancies; healthy pregnancies, births, and infants; fertility care; medical treatment that includes abortion within the standard of care; access to all necessary medications; and LGBTQIA+ reproductive health and rights.

RJ involves diverse fields, and our network will welcome students in medicine, law, and allied fields to foster collaboration across disciplines. RJSA will allow us to condense our distinct yet intersecting interests, knowledge, and skills to support each other in the pursuit of reproductive justice. RJSA aims to sustain attention on RJ issues and empower student interest and future careers in RJ. RJSA welcomes members of all gender identities and expressions who are passionate about reproductive rights. RJSA also recognizes the complex intersection of identities that impacts access to reproductive health care.
