Learn more about the commuter benefits offered to our faculty and staff below. Commuter options are also enhanced through our partnership with the Allston Brighton Transportation Management Association.

As BU continues to invest in expanding academic and research facilities on the Charles River Campus, parking capacity will continue to decrease. Reducing drive-alone vehicle demand is an essential component of the University’s Transportation Demand Management (TDM) plan and faculty and staff are encouraged to try alternatives to driving alone.

Parking & Transportation Services is here to assist with your commuting choices. Call (617) 353-2160, visit us weekdays between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M., or email us.

All regular faculty and staff who order a monthly MBTA pass through Boston University now have access to the following subsidized rates:

  • 50% for Boat and Commuter Rail Zones 1-10 (excluding 1A).
