Heine Interviewed on IX Summit of the Americas

In an interview on “Conexion Global,” CNN Chile‘s flagship international affairs show, Jorge Heine, Research Professor at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, discusses the Summit of the Americas.

During his remarks, Heine elaborates on some of the key items on the Summit’s agenda and on the fallout of so many heads of state and government from the hemisphere skipping the meeting. Heine has spoken extensively about this year’s Summit as well as the exclusion of numerous Latin American countries, and he has argued that the Biden administration’s failure to drastically change its policy approach towards the region from that of former President Donald Trump has compromised inter-American relations.
