Schmidt on WBUR: Europe’s Refugees
Vivien Schmidt, Professor of International Relations and Political Science at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, spoke about the plight of Europe’s refugees in a discussion about the possible collapse of the Schengen open-borders system.
Schmidt contributed her insights in a Jan. 27 interview on WBUR’s On Point with Tom Ashbrook. The segment was entitled “Europe’s Open Borders Under Pressure,” which Schmidt, Ashbrook, and journalists Ryan Heath and Tom Nuttall.

Schmidt is the Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Europe, one of the affiliated regional studies centers of the Pardee School.
