Holiday Cookies from James Beard-Nominated MET Alum
In 2018, Jerrelle Guy (MET’18) graduated from Metropolitan College’s Master of Liberal Arts in Gastronomy and published her debut cookbook, Black Girl Baking: Wholesome Recipes Inspired by a Soulful Upbringing (Page Street Publishing). The book, which was nominated for the 2019 James Beard Book Award, is inspired by the stories and flavors of her Southern upbringing while presenting Guy’s own unique approach to recipes. The author, who now owns the Dallas-based EJC Studio for food photography, also keeps a popular food blog, Chocolate for Basil.
Head over to Bostonia for the full story, and a couple of Guy’s holiday-ready cookie recipes.
