This emerging business need puts a premium on professionals with the requisite expertise to navigate these geographically dispersed and culturally diverse entities efficiently, while exhibiting a solid command of supply chain theory, logistics, and international trade.To prepare professionals with the skills to manage the increasingly complex delivery networks we all rely upon, BU’s Metropolitan College (MET) offers graduate programs in supply chain management (SCM), including a master’s degree and a four-course graduate certificate. Through hands-on experience in lean production, global supply chain coordination, risk mitigation, import-export operations, and strategic logistics management, you can gain the knowledge required to lead change and offer creative solutions to supply chain challenges—ideal preparation for careers that include logistician, market research analyst, operations research analyst, sales manager, and more. The program is an opportunity for full-time students and working professionals to help build SCM credentials through portfolio development and networking opportunities. Students may choose between specializations to add to their degree, with concentrations options in Logistics Management, and Quantitative Approaches.

The MSSCM concentration in Analytics develops expertise in operations-related analytics, including supply chain strategies, analysis and mitigation of supply chain risks, management of performance, quality control, and inventory and capacity management.
MS in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management Concentration
The MSSCM concentration in Logistics Management emphasizes decision-making in the areas of transportation management, warehouse and distribution center operations, and logistics network design—including an understanding of key tradeoffs and the effect of variance in a logistics system.

The MSSCM concentration in Risk Management examines business continuity planning and crisis management, including the skills needed to identify emergent threats and develop strategic responses that adhere to proven enterprise risk management principles.
