My name is Yash Patel, and I am a senior at the Questrom School of Business where I am also a peer mentor. I’m from Long Island, New York so living in a city was a very big change for me! I have a very interesting family background in business which stretches all the way to India. I have two older brothers who are also in the business field so our conversations at the dinner table are very boring. In the business field, I am interested in accounting and law . I hope to apply my business major in a very unique career field. But when I’m not reading my business law textbook or crunching numbers, I love watching sports and exploring Boston. There’s so much to do!
The Kilachand Honors College (KHC) is great because sometimes we have to visit different parts of Boston to complete our assignments. In addition to that, the community we have here is amazing. Everyone always has a smiling face when you see them. KHC also hosts many events where we get to see all of our peers and professors outside of the classroom. These events keep us all bonded together. But outside of KHC, I’m also apart of many community service organizations and I enjoy working with other people to bring the community together.
Please reach out to me with any questions or answers! I’m still trying to figure out why people here love the Red Sox over the Yankees. KHC has been an integral part of my BU experience and I would love to share it with you.
