
Richard Tonetti
Assistant Director for Operations and Finance
Richard Tonetti came to the Kilachand Honors College in 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Communications and a Microsoft Systems Engineer. Richard served as vice president of operations for Hobbytown Stores, a multi-store Massachusetts retail / wholesale chain and online sales division. He entered the higher education field at the University of Massachusetts Boston as a staff assistant to Chancellor Keith Motley, and part-time assistant to UMASS System President Robert Caret. He was hired as the director of the Chancellors’ Office at UMass Dartmouth, and also served as special assistant to Chancellor Divina Grossman. During his tenure at UMass Dartmouth, Richard served on the Senior Leadership Committee and the Chancellors’ Cabinet, working closely with the Provost, Advancement, and Finance offices. He served as a member of the Chancellor’s Centennial Scholarship Committee, Executive Chancellor Review Committee, Chancellor’s Inauguration Steering Committee, and as chair of the Public Affairs Specialist Search Committee. Richard also taught the Massachusetts Rider Education Program for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, is a certified IAABO Basketball Official, and advanced open-water scuba diver.
