Julianne Leber

CAS ’18 Mental Health Policy Fellow

I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and I received my bachelor’s in psychology from Boston University and my master’s in social work from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, & Practice. My previous experiences include work with Threshold’s as a member of their Homeless Outreach Program on the southwest side of Chicago and with the National Alliance on Mental Illness’ Chicago affiliate where she focused on workplace wellness best practices. Additionally, I co-founded and chaired BU’s mental health committee within BU student government, which is still active on campus today. I am passionate about mental health policy, focusing on expanding the access and equity of care for historically marginalized groups, as well as creating a more trauma-informed mental health crisis response system for those most in need.
