Questrom’29 Business Administration: Finance

Hi everyone, I’m Hưng!

I’m a student at Questrom School of Business, pursuing a BSBA with a concentration in Finance–and I’m considering adding a second concentration in Information Systems. I am in the Class of 2029.

I’m especially interested in Corporate Finance, particularly how data and information systems are transforming financial decision-making in modern organizations. I’m also passionate about ESG and the ways companies can balance strong financial performance with long-term sustainability and social impact. If you share interests in corporate finance, ESG, or the evolving role of data in business strategy, I’d love to connect and exchange ideas.

On campus, I’m a member of the StrategyLab division of the Boston University Consulting Group, where I collaborate with teams to tackle real-world business challenges, conduct market research, and develop strategic recommendations for clients. This experience has sharpened my structured problem-solving skills and deepened my understanding of how organizations make data-driven decisions in complex, fast-changing environments.

I’m originally from Hanoi, Vietnam. Moving to Boston meant adapting to a new city, country, and culture–and starting over socially was both challenging and intimidating. The Kilachand Honors College community played a critical role in helping me feel grounded during that transition. Through Kilachand, I’ve connected with peers from diverse academic backgrounds, engaged in meaningful discussions, and built relationships with professors across fields. These experiences have shaped both my academic journey at BU and my future career aspirations.

Adjusting to a new environment can feel overwhelming at first, but finding the right community makes all the difference. I’d love to support others navigating similar transitions, so please feel free to reach out with any questions or just to connect!
