Emma  Clement

Wheelock’28 Education & Human Development

Hello! My name is Emma Clement (she/they) and I am currently in Wheelock for Education & Human Development, but am planning on switching to majoring in Journalism in COM with a minor in visual arts in CFA. I am in the Class of 2028. I am from Shawnee, Kansas, but you will most likely hear me say I’m from Kansas City since it’s a short drive away from my town and more well-known.

On campus, I am highly involved with the BU student newspaper the Daily Free Press as Graphics Editor, Layout Co-Editor and a news writer. Additionally, I am an artist for Squinch Magazine which is a publication featuring writing and art from BU students. I am also the designer for the Wheelock student newsletter, The Wheel and a member of Art Club. In my free time I love drawing and painting both digitally and traditionally, listening to audiobooks (romance (queer obviously) and fantasy), listening to music (anything except country really), watching then rewatching my favorite animated children’s shows, and spending time with my friends!

I love the Kilachand community so much and truly feel like it has been such an integral part of adjusting to life at BU. The classes I have taken through KHC have all been great and every professor/advisory/faculty member I’ve met has been wonderful. BU, and Kilachand more specifically, was my dream in high school and I am so lucky to be here now. I’m happy to talk to anyone about my experiences with BU, KHC, being far from home, or anything at all really! Feel free to reach out!
