CAS’26 Psychology, Pre-law

Hi! I’m Emily (she/her) and I am a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences with the plan to be pre-law. I am currently a part of Women in Law and Students for Reproductive Freedom, and while I was unable to join the intramural softball team this year due to construction on the field, I am fully prepared to ship up my old softball glove next spring.

I am originally from The Woodlands, Texas which is right outside of Houston. Coming to a big city like Boston was extremely intimidating, however, it was the best decision I could have made. I will never forget opening my decision letter and learning that not only was I accepted to BU, but I was also accepted into Kilachand! I was intimidated by the idea of an “honors college,” however the community and education I have received this year have helped so much in my transition to college. The first seminar I took with Kilachand was an anthropological take on storytelling (AN102 The Lives of Others: The Power, Politics, and Ethics of Storytelling) and it was one of the most fascinating classes I have taken thus far at BU. Not to mention, the community of Kilachand makes adapting to college a lot easier. I have so many friends on my floor, in my seminars, and more all due to Kilachand. My favorite thing to do is to explore new coffee shops, so if you ever have any questions or want a pal to join you for coffee, feel free to reach out!
