This Alumni Weekend, celebrate BU SHA’s vibrant alumni community with a morning of recognition, conversation, and connection. Join us as we honor outstanding Alumni of the Year awardees. As a special bonus, hear from Professor Leora Lanz about her recent book release, “Developing Your Marketing Mindset: Real-World Lessons from Hospitality,” featuring contributions from many SHA alumni making an impact across the global hospitality landscape.

10:00 AM –  Welcome from Dean Arun Upneja

10:10 AM – Featured Conversation: Professor Leora Lanz
Alumni panel and audience Q&A regarding her new book, “Developing Your Marketing Mindset: Real-World Lessons from Hospitality,” featuring contributions from many SHA alumni. Hear from SHA alumni Jack T. Coughlin (Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts), Stephen Martino (Union Square Hospitality Group), and Mara Littman (BU School of Hospitality) about why a marketing mindset is essential.

10:35AM – Young Alumni Awards Presentation

10:45 AM – Distinguished Alumni Award Presentation
John Lapeire ’90, Vice President, Marriott International, followed by a fireside chat with Dean Arun Upneja.

Book sale and signing with Professor Leora Lanz in the lobby.
