It all starts with an idea. In the spirit of Experience Innovation, Boston University School of Hospitality Administration offers two Innovation Competitions: $50k Hospitality Innovation Competition and the $12.5k Student Wellbeing Competition, providing Boston University students an opportunity to pitch ideas for new ventures within the hospitality industry that embrace innovative ways to solve problems and create value for all stakeholders.

$50k Hospitality Innovation Competition
This competition welcomes all innovative ideas for new ventures focused on the hospitality industry.
1st Place Prize – $25,000
2nd Place Prize – $15,000
3rd Place Prize – $10,000

$12.5k Student Wellbeing Competition
This competition focuses on innovative ideas or initiatives that promote the social wellbeing of students at Boston University. The success of these ventures is assessed based on creativity, novelty, reach, and feasibility to implement.

- Semi-finalists announced on February 20, 2025.
- Semi-final round takes place on March 17, 2025.
- Finalists announced by March 21, 2025.
- The final found for the $12.5k Student Wellbeing Competition will take place at BU School of Hospitality on April 1, 2025.
- The final round for the $50k Innovation Competition will take place at the Hospitality Leadership Summit on April 3, 2025, and winners will be announced.
