At Boston University School of Hospitality Administration (SHA), we are dedicated to ensuring that our master’s degree in hospitality management is a smart investment in your career advancement and personal growth. To help you budget for your educational expenses, we provide detailed information about the Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH), MS in Hospitality Real Estate (MSHRE), and MS in Hospitality Management (MSHM) programs’ tuition, fees, and other expenses ranging from books and supplies to housing and transportation.
BU SHA also offers scholarships and financial aid options to help you afford your education and pursue your dreams with a hospitality graduate degree. If you are a domestic student pursuing a graduate degree, you may be eligible for Federal Financial Aid. Please check out our Federal Loan page.
Scholarships
Boston University School of Hospitality Administration is committed to supporting graduate students through guaranteed and merit-based scholarships.
$14,000 Guaranteed Scholarship for All Admitted Students
All students admitted to the Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH), MS in Hospitality Real Estate, or MS in Hospitality Management program will receive a minimum $14,000 scholarship—regardless of citizenship status or full-/part-time enrollment.

Please note: Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate programs are not eligible for scholarships.
Tuition and Expenses
Tuition rates for the 2026 – 2027 academic year will be announced in April 2026.
If you register for more than 18 credits in a Fall/Spring term, you are charged $2,183 per credit for the overage. This requires approval from the Manager of Academic Services an d Graduate Admissions.
Massachusetts law requires all students enrolled in at least 75% of the full-time curriculum to have medical insurance. Students who cannot demonstrate coverage under a qualifying medical insurance plan are required to purchase the University’s student health insurance plan, which is due and payable with your first-semester charges.
