Zachary Loschinskey is a second year PhD candidate in the Biomedical Engineering Department advised by Michael Economo and Brian DePasquale. He grew up outside of Memphis, TN and completed his BS in Biomedical Engineering-Bioinformatics at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Before coming to BU, he studied artificial minichromosomes with Dr. James Birchler and the long-term effects of radiation therapies on sleep electrophysiology with Dr. Ranganatha Sitaram.
Zach currently studies multiregion brain communication and hierarchical motor control using mathematical modeling. As a member of the DePasquale Lab, he has helped to develop an open-source codebase in the Julia programming language for nonlinear systems identification.
