Ying is currently a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. She was awarded the Hariri Graduate Student Fellowship in 2017. She received my BA in Mathematics from Boston University in 2015. Her research is in the area of applied math, numerical analysis, and mathematical biology. She develops accurate numerical methods and efficient computational tools to approximate models describing micro-scale stochastic biological systems. In particular, she is interested in using computational models combining with experimental data to study the human immune system, especially the dynamics of T cell receptors.
