Paul Barbone is a professor for the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University’s College of Engineering. His current research aims to bring new imaging capabilities, enabled by high-performance computing, to a wide cadre of biomedical researchers through a Biomechanical Imaging Science Gateway web portal. Research interests include theoretical & computational mechanics and acoustics, medical imaging, inverse problems, finite element methods, scattering, multiple scales, microstructure, dynamics, and vibration of complex systems.
