Noora Lori is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University and an Academy Scholar at the Harvard Academy of International and Area Studies. She was selected as an Institute Research Fellow in January 2017. Her research focuses on the politics of citizenship and forced migration in the Middle East. She founded and co-directs the Pardee Initiative on Forced Migration and Human Trafficking (FMHT) and is the Associate Director of the Boston Consortium for Arab Region Studies. Lori won the Gitner Family Prize for Faculty excellence (2015) and the Templeton Award for Excellence in Student Advising (2016).  Her research has been funded by the Initiative of Cities at Boston University, the ACLS/Mellon Foundation, and the ZEIT-Stiftung “Settling into Motion” Fellowship. She received her MA and PhD from Johns Hopkins University (2013) and her BA summa cum laude from Northwestern University (2006).
