Anil Kag is a Ph.D. candidate in the College of Engineering (ECE Dept.) at Boston University. He received a B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2014. He worked as a Software Engineer with Microsoft (Hyderabad) from 2014 to 2016. Following which he worked as a Research Fellow at Microsoft Research (Bangalore) from 2016-2018, where he worked on extreme classification with Dr. Manik Varma. As a graduate student in Prof. Venkatesh Saligrama’s lab, he is involved in building efficient deep neural architectures so as to facilitate faster learning and inference under constraints. His research interests include constrained learning, efficient deep architectures, online learning, and statistical learning theory.
