Adam Guren is an empirical macroeconomist. His work is principally at the nexus of the housing market, household finance, and the macroeconomy including house prices, the 2000s housing boom and bust, housing wealth effects, foreclosures and foreclosure policy, mortgage design, and macroprudential policy. He has also studied labor markets, trade, and the macroeconomy. He teaches Ph.D. and MA macroeconomic theory, topics in macroeconomics, and undergraduate housing policy. He is a faculty research fellow at the NBER.
