AIR Speaker Series talk by Serge Belongie on: “A New workflow for collaborative machine learning research in biodiversity”
On October 19th, 2020 Serge Belongie, Professor of Computer Science at Cornell, is presenting at the Distinguished Speaker Series hosted by Artificial Intelligence Research (AIR). Professor Belongie is presenting their research during their talk “A New workflow for collaborative machine learning research in biodiversity.”
Professor Belongie is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award, the Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship, the MIT Technology Review “Innovators Under 35” Award and the Helmholtz Prize for fundamental contributions in Computer Vision. Their research interests include Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Crowdsourcing and Human-in-the-Loop Computing. Professor Belongie is also a co-founder of several companies including Digital Persona, Anchovi Labs and Orpix. In their talk, they will talk about the new workflow for biodiversity research institutions who would like to make use of Machine Learning.
