Honda Research Institute Holds Info Session for Funding Proposals

This past March, the Honda Research Institute led an information session covering their special track offered as part of the Hariri Institute’s Research Incubation Awards. The talk was given to a full seminar room at the Hariri Institute for Computing as BU faculty members were given some insights into their proposal ideas.

Explicitly, in their info session, the Honda Research Institute expressed their interest in proposals involved in the systematic development of security architectures. As well as secure software development strategies that efficiently cover a variety of products (water/air/land vehicles), maturity levels (from prototypes to production-ready stages), autonomy (from full human-controlled to fully autonomous), and business models (from ownership to general public commodity). Conceptualizing individual security solutions for such a broad range of product characteristics is challenging. Thus a more versatile approach is desired.
