Frederick Jansen named Associate Director of Engineering at the Software and Application Innovation Lab

Frederick, who started off as SAIL’s first employee in 2015, comes to this new position after having worked as a Senior Software Engineer since 2016. Frederick contributions to the growth and to the success of SAIL are numerous; his promotion is a mere affirmation of his demonstrated leadership of the SAIL team. Also, Frederick has accepted to step in and serve as the Interim Director of SAIL.

Prior to joining SAIL, Frederick was a Client Core Engineer at Goodgame Studios in Germany and worked in advertising in the US and in Belgium. Frederick has a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts in Extension Studies with a Concentration in Information Management Systems from Harvard University. He also holds a degree in Digital Design and Multimedia from Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen – Vlaamse Autonome Hogeschool located in Belgium and has multiple publications on topics ranging from web-based privacy-preserving data analysis to computerized adaptive testing.
