Kolachalama Pushes for Machine Learning to be Integrated into Medical Education
Hariri-funded researcher and Institute Faculty Fellow Vijaya B. Kolachalama argues that educating medical students with machine learning techniques will allow them to keep up with a rapidly developing technology-integrated healthcare sector in his recently published article on Nature Research Journal. Kolachalama, who teaches an introductory machine learning course within the Graduate Medical Sciences program at Boston University School of Medicine, provides a template curricular structure to further integrate ML within a medical school curriculum. With this introductory experience, he claims, students would be able to pose clinical questions and analyze data using AI tools.
