Sept 15, 2015 Visioning Workshop: On the Future of the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC)
Dear Computing Scientists/Engineers and Data-driven Researchers,
On September 15, 2015, there will be a visioning meeting held at the Westin in Waltham MA to start a discussion on the future of the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC). The program will be organized by Chris Hill (MIT), Hans Johnston (UMASS), and Dave Kaeli (Northeastern). Other folks involved with the organization/program of this workshop include: Azer Bestavros (BU), James Cuff (Harvard), Yan-Li Diao (UMass Amherst), Patrick Dreher (MIT), John Goodhue (MGHPCC), Wendy Huntoon (KINBER), Manish Parashar (Rutgers University), and Vinod Vokkrane (UMass Lowell).
This meeting is part of the 2015 High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) conference, held 9/15-17.
The meeting will include a set of lightning talks in the AM on 9/15. We are looking for contributions (a one-page description) discussing how MGHPCC has been used in your research. Registration is free and includes lunch.
We are putting together the program as we receive submissions. This will give your group an opportunity to discuss how MGHPCC is impacting your research, and you will be part of the discussion on how we move forward as a Center in the future. Please submit your abstract of your lightening talk in the next few days.
Please share this with any/all people at your school that are utilizing MGHPCC, or would like to be part of the planning for the future of this wonderful facility.
Regards,
Dave, Chris and Hans
