Starla Gooch
Doctoral Student Researcher
Rev. Starla Gooch is a PhD student in Pastoral Theology and Psychology at Boston University School of Theology and a doctoral student researcher at the Danielsen Institute. An ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, Starla’s primary research interests focus on the intersection of theology, spiritual formation, and attachment theory, looking most closely at relational spirituality in Pentecostal communities. Starla has a Master of Theology from Duke Divinity School and a Master of Divinity from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Outside of research, Starla serves on the teaching team at her local church and on pastoral staff with a student ministry organization at Boston University.
