DI research director presents clergy well-being research to Abundant Life Flourishing Seminar

Danielsen Institute Director of Research, Dr. Steven J. Sandage, led a webinar for the Abundant Life Flourishing Seminar on Clergy Well-Being: Reducing Burnout and Promoting Flourishing. Dr. Sandage first catalogued the problems facing clergy (e.g., PTSD and burnout symptoms), offered reasons why these problems exist (e.g., role complexity and responsibility, family spillover effect, reduced social trust among faith leaders), and provided a pathway forward focused on healthy relational ecologies (i.e., relational spirituality model), role-self differentiation, and the cutting-edge, multidimensional Chrysalis formation/intervention program (see Captari et al., 2024). This all-important topic is crucial for promoting congregational flourishing, which will, in turn, lead to flourishing on the individual and societal domains.

A recording of the talk is now posted on the Abundant Life Flourishing Program’s YouTube account. You can access the recording HERE.
