Getting Started @ BU

All students must comply with the following rules before enrolling in classes. Students who do not comply with these requirements will not be permitted to register for the current semester.

Are You Safe, Settled, and Healthy?

As a result of new requirements and stricter enforcement of the state immunization requirements, Boston University is asking all students, “Are you Safe, Settled, and Healthy?” to be sure that everyone is in compliance with state and University rules. What does Safe, Settled, and Healthy mean?

Safe

Have you entered an emergency contact phone number in the MyBU Student Portal?
This number will be used by the Send Word Now system to alert you in emergency situations. You can provide the number by clicking on “Update Campus Emergency Phone” in the MyBU Student Portal.

Settled

Have you settled your Student Account? Did you pay your tuition and fees? You can check your account information by clicking on the “Money Matters” tab in the MyBU Student Portal.

Healthy

Have you met Massachusetts state immunization requirements? You must prove that you have received all vaccinations required by state law. Review the requirements outlined on the Student Health Services website.

Students who do not comply with these requirements will not be permitted to register for the current semester.

A special page has been added to the MyBU Student Portal so you can check to see if you are in compliance with the Safe, Settled, and Healthy requirements. Go to MyBU Student Portal, click on the “Personal” tab, and then select “Compliance Status” from the list.
