Mr. Guenter is the former vice president and general counsel of Shawmut National Corporation. He also served as a member of the Banking Advisory Committee of the Connecticut Law Revision Commission, which was responsible for a complete revision of the Connecticut Banking Laws presented to the legislature and adopted in May 1994. He has been teaching banking and financial law courses at Boston University and the University of Connecticut for over 20 years. He co-teaches Government Regulation of Insurance.
