Professor Michael Baram has consulted for national, state, international and private sector organizations such as the United States Congress, Environmental Protection Agency, United Nations, World Health Organization, the State of Massachusetts and the Chemical Manufacturers Association. He has served on committees of the National Academy of Sciences, the U.S. Department of Energy and the American Bar Association. His seven books discuss alternatives to regulation, safety management, corporate risk communication and the right-to-know law. In more than 100 published papers, Professor Baram has dealt with a broad range of subjects including transgenic agriculture and biosafety, electromagnetic fields and environmental justice, risk management and regulation and many other legal aspects of health, safety and environmental protection.
