Email Reference Request
The law library reference librarians will respond by email to brief factual questions from Boston University School of Law students. For example, we can help identify and locate known legal materials, provide guidance in the use of legal resources and tools, or find facts such as directory information. Please note that licenses require passwords to BULaw licensed electronic resources to be sent only to your BU email address, upon verification of your status as a law student.
Reference librarians respond to email requests Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Our response time will vary depending upon the complexity of the question and the volume of mail received.
For more complex questions or for immediate assistance, we recommend that you ask a librarian in person or by phone. Law students working on seminar papers, certification papers, or journal notes are welcome to make an appointment for a research consultation with a reference librarian.
Mugar Library's Ask a Librarian service provides email reference service to other BU students
