Student Life

BU Law is an active, friendly community, where plenty of growth takes place beyond the classroom. You can join any number of student organizations, attend academic conferences with inspiring guest speakers, sign up for community service, or contribute to one of our scholarly journals. Or just take part in countless social activities. Even our facilities play a part—the Sumner M. Redstone Building was designed with spaces that not only support learning but build community. Beyond our hub, the University campus at large offers endless social and academic resources, including the opportunity to earn a dual degree at BU’s other schools and colleges.

And if that wasn’t enough, we’re located in the heart of Boston. In fact, we look at the city as an extended classroom, an exciting, diverse, hands-on learning and cultural experience. You’ll find public transportation just outside your doorstep to whisk you to a collection of distinct and vibrant neighborhoods, world-class museums, a wealth of historical sites, excellent restaurants, numerous theaters, and a sports scene legendary for its enthusiasm. Boston is a global center for academia and research, home to nearly 100 higher-ed institutions and more than 250,000 students. So go ahead, take it all in!
