eResources Update: Nineteenth Century Masterfile, Series I
The 19th Century Masterfile, Series I is a collection of historical periodical indexes covering science, legal periodicals, religion and psychological literature. This collection includes:
- Poole's Index to Periodical Literature, the "first and only systematic article level index to the subject matter of 19th century periodicals". It indexes over 400 U.S. and U.K. periodicals.
- Index to Legal Periodical Literature 1786-1922, providing retrospective coverage of legal publications.
This index also includes links to full text on JSTOR, HeinOnline and other databases.
Accessing the Nineteenth Century Masterfile
Content is available anywhere you have an Internet connection. You will be asked to log in with your BU username and Kerberos password.
Searching the Nineteenth Century Masterfile
Search by keywords, titles or authors. You may limit by date. The results page will show a listing of the number of results in each database. Click on the number to view a list of results. Items with an electronic Begin by searching for keywords then limit search to the appropriate database to view results therein.
