ABF Newsletters provides permanent electronic access to American Bar Foundation newsletters in PDF format. The ABF provides the current three years only, but this site contains the law library's archive of these publications.


ABI/Inform Global is an abstracting and indexing tool for more than 1500 business periodicals, including 200 English language foreign publications. It also contains the full text of over 600 journals from 1992 to the present. Note: The link takes you to a page with the heading "ProQuest". This is the main search page for ABI/INFORM.


Almanac of the Federal Judiciary provides detailed biographical information and notes on significant rulings by federal judges, including Supreme Court justices. Database is based on Aspen publication of same title, but lawyers' comments on judges are omitted.


Almanac of American Politics includes essays and populations statistics for each state and Congressional district; biographical information about governors and members of Congress; and recent election results and legislative voting records.


American Jurisprudence 2d is a comprehensive encyclopedia of American law, arranged into over 400 topical articles. Numbered sections within articles can be accessed through a menu-based table of contents or full-text searching.


"The American Law Institute library on HeinOnline consists of full runs of the Institute's Annual Reports, Proceedings, Annual Meeting Speeches, and the Institute's newsletter, The ALI Reporter. The ALI Collection also includes selected Restatements of the Law and the Model Penal Code. All documents are available in PDF format.


Antitrust and Trade Regulation Report database provides all issues of the looseleaf service published since February 8, 1996. Ballentine's Law Dictionary, 3rd Edition contains over 40,000 definitions of legal terms.

The Black's Law Dictionary database contains the entire contents of Black's Law Dictionary (8th Edition, 2004), the classic legal dictionary. In addition to definitions, the new edition provides quotations, Latin legal maxims, an extensive appendix on legal abbreviations, and West Key Numbers for case law research.


Bloomberg Law is "Bloomberg’s legal, regulatory and compliance platform, offering a suite of news, data, analytics and research tools to the legal and compliance community. BNA: All Boston University School of Law subscriptions: The law library subscribes to the BNA All Law School package, which provides the full text of most BNA newsletters in the areas of Banking, Corporate Law, Health Care, Intellectual Property, and many more. In addition, BNA All includes access to U.S. Law Week. Current students, faculty, and staff of BU Law may subscribe for email updates containing the highlights of the various BNA publications. In order for these email updates to work with BU username and Kerberos authentication, you must signup with your BU email address.


Britannica Online includes the complete encyclopedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus, Britannica Student Encyclopedia and the Britannica Book of the Year. Includes basic and advanced searching capabilities as well as extensive cross-references and links to related web sites.


Business Full Text is a database that indexes and abstracts articles from more than 345 English-language periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere, including the leading business magazines and trade and research journals, plus the full text of over 160 of those periodicals. Indexing begins in July 1982. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.


CALI, the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction, provides dozens of interactive lessons in 28 legal subject areas. Lessons vary in format and length, may be used to supplement classroom learning, or as a study aid for exams. The Chicago Manual of Style Online provides access to the 15th edition of this time tested guide for citing works and creating bibliographies. Of special note in the 15th edition is the addition of detailed guidelines for citing electronic sources. The Chicago Manual of Style Online also provides the Chicago Style Q&A and convenient tools such as sample forms, letters, and style sheets.


Constitutions of the Countries of the World is an Oceana database that provides the constitutions of roughly 192 countries and states, in English. Users can search by keyword through the full text, browse by an alphabetical listing of countries, or do a directed search and then compare the constitutions of various countries.  Users can also compare historical versions of a country’s constitution to the current one.  Note that the updates to documents will vary from country to country. To access this resource, select "Connect via IP Access" from the list of "Oceana Online" options. You will then be able to select Constitutions of the Countries of the World on the next page.

Findlaw Legal News provides top legal headlines and legal news by subjects areas such as politics, civil rights, crime, business, technology and IP, labor, environment, investigations, international, entertainment and sports.  There are columns by legal experts and latest documents of interest in PDF file. 


FirstGov is the the official U.S. gateway to all government information. On FirstGov.gov, you can search millions of web pages from federal and state governments, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories. Most of the pages are not available on commercial web sites. FirstGov has the most comprehensive search of government anywhere on the Internet.


The Foreign and International Law Resources Database (FILRD) "allows researchers to browse publications from the American Society of International Law and the prominent Yearbooks from around the world, as well as the Hague Permanent Court of International Justice series and the publications of dozens of other highly-respected publishers."


Foreign Law Guide is the online version of the print publication “Foreign Law: Current Sources of Codes and Legislations in Jurisdictions of the World”, commonly referred to as “Reynolds and Flores”.  Each entry includes an introductory section that describes the legal system of that country.  The Major Publications section includes information on where to find major codifications such as a country's civil code or criminal code, as well as information on translation availability.  Many works are also referenced within specific subject areas of the law.


GATT Digital Library is a project by Stanford University that provides access to over 30,000 public documents and 200 publications of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). The public documents include reports, studies, and meeting records covering a broad range of topics related to international trade published 1947-1994.


General Science Full Text is a database that indexes and abstracts articles from English-language periodicals published in the United States and Great Britain, plus the full text of selected periodicals. Periodical coverage includes popular science magazines as well as professional journals. General Science Full Text also covers The New York Times Science Section (published weekly on Tuesday). Indexing begins with May 1984. Abstracting coverage begins with periodicals published in March 1993. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.


GovEngine.com provides links to federal, state, and local government sites organized in a clear consistent pattern. State pages provide links to the state web site., the legislative, judicial, and executive branches, local government, plus links to other metasites. The federal government is divided into a page about federal courts and a separate page for the remainder of federal government.


GPO Access is a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office and provides free electronic access to a wealth of information produced by the federal government. Examples include the U.S. Code, Federal Register, CFR, Congressional Record, and Congressional bills. 


Harvard Research in International Law "was originally published in the American Journal of International Law between 1929 and 1939. The various advisory boards that were assembled wrote draft conventions on several topics over a 10-year period. The International Law Commission utilized the Harvard Research when its work coincided with projects undertaken by the Research, most notably in the drafting of what became the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic Relations in 1961 and on Consular Relations 1963, and the piracy provisions of the Geneva Convention on the High Seas 1958."

Humanities Full Text is a database that indexes and abstracts articles from English-language periodicals, plus the full text of selected periodicals. Topics include archaeology, art, film, music, performing arts, religion, history and literature. Periodical coverage includes both well-known scholarly journals and numerous lesser-known but important specialized periodicals. Indexing begins in 1984. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.


ICPSR, the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research, is part of the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan. "Established in 1962, ICPSR is the world's largest archive of digital social science data. We acquire, preserve, and distribute original research data and provide training in its analysis. We also offer access to publications based on our data holdings."


Index to Common Law Festschriften provides access to over 4500 English language essays honoring distinguished common law jurists. These essays are not indexed elsewhere, making this Index a unique research tool. A detailed editorial policy is available on the site, explaining criteria for inclusion.


Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals is a multilingual index to articles and book reviews published worldwide, covering international (public and private) and comparative law, and the law of countries other than the United States, the U.K., Canada, and Australia. Coverage is from 1985 to the present.


Index to Legal Periodicals & Books is a bibliographic index to legal periodical articles, including law reviews, bar association journals, selected legal magazines and newspapers, and yearbooks. Coverage begins in 1980. Emphasis is on the U.S. and other English-language nations. It also indexes law books published in 1993 and after. Index to Legal Periodicals Retrospective provides additional coverage from 1908-1979. Prior to ILPB, the Index to Legal Periodical Literature 1786-1922 provides retrospective coverage of legal publications. International Law in Domestic Courts provides coverage of important international law issues decided in domestic courts, dating back to 2000.  Users can search by keyword, full text, country/jurisdiction or key categories. Important or key passages of judgments are translated into English, with the full judgments made available in their original languages.  Expert commentary is offered to explain how domestic or national courts have interpreted international law to reach their decisions.  The database is updated every two weeks.  Access is by IP address.


International Law Reports is the only publication in the world wholly devoted to the regular and systematic reporting in English of decisions of international courts and arbitrators as well as judgments of national courts. Justis will provide the first searchable, electronic platform for this material. The entire series from 1919 to the present is found in this electronic collection.


International Trade Reporter provides comprehensive information about legal developments affecting the trade and international business policies of the U.S. and its major trading partners. Investment Claims Online "offers more than 300 full-text investment awards with authoritative commentary and regular updates to follow. IP Watch reports on the most important U.S. and international IP stories and features. The columns contain the latest IP news, people news, brief items on key news, and reports on IP policy.  The online subscription includes the full searchable archive of the monthly newsletter in PDF format as well as the frequently updated online blog. JSTOR is a full-text collection of back issues (from volume 1 to approximately five years ago) of core scholarly journals. Includes journals in African-American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, classics, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, sociology, and statistics.


Judge Center, a Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly publication, is aimed at Massachusetts practitioners who are preparing to appear before Massachusetts judges. In addition to biographies about the judges, Judge Center provides "evaluations, comments, and advice from other lawyers who have appeared before the judge", links to the judge's decisions by topic and year, and articles referencing the judge". This resource is by password only and is limited to one simultaneous user.


Justis contains the full-text of UK Statutes from 1235 to the present time.  Users can search by multiple methods including keyword searches, year of statute, as well as section and title of the statute.  Access to the database is through IP access. Users need to click on the link to “Log In” and then IP access will be granted. Results can be emailed, printed or downloaded.


BNA's Labor and Employment Law Library contains the full text of the Labor Relations Reporter, a "complete resource for cases, guidance, and news in all major areas of the field: fair employment practices, individual employment rights, Americans with disabilities, wages and hours, labor-management relations, collective bargaining, and labor arbitration." -- Description from BNA.

Lawyers' Weekly USA - Archives provides a searchable database of articles appearing in Lawyers' Weekly USA from 1993-present. The full-text of articles is available in HTML format.


Leadership Library on the Internet is a searchable database of the Yellow Books published by Leadership Directories Inc. This database provides contact information for federal, state, and municipal government officials, as well as leaders in corporations, financial services, law firms, and non-profit organizations.
Users may browse or search the entire library or individual directories.


Legal Information Institute (LII) at Cornell is a non-profit activity of Cornell Law School and is designed for legal professionals, students, and the general public.  This award-winning Web site provides, within each area of the law, an overview, citations and links to full-texts of relevant federal statutes and regulations, state statutes, court decisions, reference materials, and useful Internet sources.   


LegalTrac is a bibliographic index to articles in over 800 legal periodical publications from the U.S. and other English-speaking countries, and law-related articles from over 1,000 business and general interest periodicals. Search options include subject guide, keyword and full Boolean. Coverage is from 1980 to the present.


The Lexibase database provides six electronic Collins dictionaries (English-French, English-German, English-Italian, English-Chinese, English-Spanish, and English-Russian) "with a high-performance and user-friendly interface". An index of entries appears on the left frame, or simply type the work to retrieve its entry. Advanced searching allows searching of the entire text of the dictionary for words within definitions, examples, etc.


LexisLibrary: All England Reports provides online access and searching of English case law. The contents are as follows: All England Commercial Cases (1999-2009, PDF), All England Law Reports (1936-2009 with PDF from 1996 to current), All England Law Reports European Cases(1995-2009), All England Reporter(1997-2009), All ER reprints (1558-1935), All ER Reprints Extensions (1861-1935).


LexisNexis is a legal research database designed for law school students and faculty. It includes cases, statutes, and regulations from federal and state jurisdictions, selected legal materials from foreign jurisdictions, and extensive secondary materials such as treatises and law journal articles. Due to license restrictions, the law library can only provide access to current law school students, faculty, and staff.


LexisNexis Academic is a research database designed for undergraduates and other non-law students. It includes news sources from the U.S. and around the world, business and medical information and legal research tools. Legal research tools include law reviews (scholarly legal journals), legal news, and resources for cases, statutes and regulations.


LexisNexis Congressional (formerly Congressional Universe) consists of the CIS Index, Congressional Indexes, 1789-1969, and selected full text Congressional publications. CIS Index abstracts US Congressional publications from 1970 to the present. The publications include Bills, Hearings, Committee Prints, House and Senate Reports, House and Senate Documents, Senate Treaty Documents, Senate Executive Reports, and the Congressional Record. Use the CIS Number from the abstracts to locate these publications in the CIS microfiche collections of the Pappas Law Library and Mugar Library.


LexisNexis: Law Reviews, Combined contains full-text law journal articles from 1982 to the present. See the information icon online for a list of included journals.


LexisNexis Searchable Directory of Online Sources. Use this database to determine whether a particular publication/source is available in LexisNexis and the coverage dates. The directory may be searched by keyword in the description or title of the source.


LexisNexis Statistical (formerly Statistical Universe) is an online version of three indexes: American Statistics Index, covering 1973 to the present; Index to International Statistics, covering 1983 to the present; and Statistical Reference Index, covering 1980 to the present. The database indexes and abstracts social, demographic, and economic statistics published by the U.S. government, the U.N. and other international governmental organizations, as well as US state governments, and US private nonprofit and commercial associations and organizations. Most of these publications are available in the ASI, IIS, and SRI microfiche collections in Mugar Library. The PowerTables section of the database contains complete statistical tables, and may be searched separately.


LLMC-Digital consists of several collections of U.S. and foreign primary law materials that have been digitized into page image format. Materials include presidential documents, federal agency decisions, selected federal court decisions, congressional information, and federal statutes. Not all volumes within a series may be online.


LLRX: Law Librarians Resource Exchange is geared for legal and library professionals.  This site is well regarded for its legal research guides on a vast array of topics.


The Making of Modern Law features a fully searchable database of approximately 10-million pages and from more than 22,000 works from the Nineteenth Century and Twentieth Century Legal Treatises collections, covering 1800-1926.


Making of Modern Law Trials 1600-1926 provides unofficially published accounts of trials; official trial documents, briefs and arguments, separately published records of legislative proceedings, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations from U.S., England, and the British Empire. Cases include famous cases, including the Dred Scott case and the Scopes Monkey Trial.


Martindale-Hubbell is a web site that features a Lawyer Locator, a nationwide database of participating law firms and lawyers, including corporate law departments, government attorneys and law professors. It is searchable by location and area of practice. Also includes database of experts and legal services.


Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly - Archives provides a searchable database of nearly all articles appearing in Massachusetts Lawyers' Weekly from 1993-present. The full-text of articles is available in HTML format. The Archives does not contain articles that were on the Bar Association pages (these are all written by the associations themselves)or most articles written by guest writers before 2004 (the authors had to give separate permission for their articles to run on the web)


Max Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law is newly revised and updated to cover the latest developments in international law. The online publication includes more than 700 new topics not covered in the previous print editions. It will be updated quarterly until nearly 1700 articles are available.


Medline, compiled by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, contains nearly 8,000,000 records from more than 7300 publications, including bibliographic citations and abstracts of biomedical literature. Articles are in English and many foreign languages. Access to coverage for the current year and the previous five years is available through WebSPIRS. Access to the complete database from 1965 to the present is available through the PubMed web site.


Mergent Online contains financial information on international and US publicly-held companies. Search for a company by company name or by ticker symbol. Once a company is selected, select the "Edgar Search" tab. Edgar filings can be searched by company name, by specific filing type, by date, and for specific text within filings. Documents can be downloaded into Excel or Word.  For a description of Edgar/SEC filings, click on the Edgar Definitions tab at the top of the search form.


MyiLibrary provides access to electronic books. The library licenses a collection of legal books published by Cambridge University Press, all available in PDF format. MyiLibrary "Quick Search" allows users to search by author, title or subject. Advanced searching adds the ability to search by ISBN, keyword (book metadata from publisher), limit by publisher, etc. Users may also search by keyword at the book level or view the table of contents. MyiLibrary allows registered users to save notes on their server and copy selections of text.


NALP Directory of Legal Employers is a searchable and browsable version of the print directory of legal employers. Entries are available in HTML or PDF format. Search results may be saved for two weeks.


The National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws collection includes all available transcripts of the Proceedings of each Annual Meeting, as well as the transcripts of the discussions in the Committee of the whole of each Uniform and Model Act. Also included are the approved "successive drafts" of each Uniform and Model Act.


National Criminal Justice Reference Service provides abstracts of thousands of criminal justice publications. Most documents published by NCJRS sponsoring agencies since 1995 are available in full text. Older publications may be available in the BU libraries; check the BU Libraries online catalog.


Nineteenth Century Masterfile, Series I is a collection of historical periodical indexes covering science, legal periodicals, religion and psychological literature. Begin by searching for keywords then limit search to the appropriate database to view results therein. This index also includes links to full text on JSTOR, HeinOnline and other databases.


The ODS, or Official Document System, was created by the United Nations for storing all documents produced by its various organs. The New York and Geneva offices began loading documents from the year 1993 forward and the Vienna office began with the year 1997 forward. The database is kept very current. There are certain types of documents, like General Assembly resolutions, which are covered back to 1946. The system is also slowly adding other older documents. All documents are available in PDF format. The Global Search Engine http://documents.un.org/globalE.html is the most useful way to search the database. The database is available to the public.


Oxford Dictionary of National Biography provides illustrated biographies of over 50,000 "men and women who shaped all aspects of Britain's past, from the fourth century BC to the year 2001", excluding living people.


Oxford International Encyclopedia of Legal History provides both historical and contemporary comparisons of the world legal systems. It covers legal history from ancient to modern times. Approximately 1,000 articles explore the traditions of Ancient Greek Law, Ancient Roman Law, Medieval Roman Law, Chinese Law, English Common Law, Islamic Law, United States Law, and the laws of such other regions as Africa, Latin America, and South Asia.


Oxford English Dictionary, New Edition includes draft material from the current OED project, representing the latest progress towards a completely revised and updated Third Edition - at present, this consists of entries in the range M to Mamzer, with more entries added quarterly.


Oxford English Dictionary, 2nd Edition is the leading historical dictionary of the English language.


Oxford Reference Online contains about 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press. It is a fully-indexed, cross-searchable database of these works.


PACER, or Public Access to Court Electronic Records, is a database of federal court information that allows users to obtain case and docket information from federal Appellate, District and Bankruptcy courts, and from the U.S. Party/Case Index. PACER does not provide access to state court information. NOTE: Current students in the BU Clinical Programs may request the login information from the reference librarians for clinical programs research only.


PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service) is a bibliographic database of citations to public policy literature in books, journal articles and government documents. It includes materials published in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. Coverage is from 1972 to date.


The New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics, 2nd edition, contains over 1,850 articles by more than 1,500 of the world's leading economists. Browse articles in alphabetical order by title, by JEL classification, or by contributor.


Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Journal is a comprehensive database for current developments in all areas of intellectual property law. Use this database to find news and analysis about cases, statutes, and regulation affecting intellectual property practice. The database contains all issues published since February 15, 1996. Philosopher's Index indexes and abstracts books, contributions to anthologies and articles from approximately 300 journals annually, from 1940 to date for English-language sources and from 1967 to date for non-English sources. Although materials indexed are in many languages, all abstracts are in English. It covers philosophy and related fields, including aesthetics, epistemology, ethics, logic, metaphysics and the philosophy of various disciplines such as education, history and law.


Pike & Fischer Internet Law & Regulation contains decisions, case filings, forms, and analytical articles on Internet law topics including Internet commerce, intellectual property, and more. Use the topical digests to view case law and filings by specific topics.


Poole's Index to Periodical Literature is the "first and only systematic article level index to the subject matter of 19th century periodicals". It indexes over 400 popular U.S. and U.K. periodicals. This index also includes links to full text on JSTOR, HeinOnline and other databases.


Project Muse provides access to the full text of over 100 scholarly journals in the arts and humanities, social sciences and mathematics. Coverage varies for each journal.


PsycInfo is a bibliographic database that indexes journal articles, dissertations, books, book chapters, technical reports, and other documents in psychology and the behavioral sciences. Abstracts are included. The materials indexed are in English and many other languages. Coverage is from 1887 to the present.


Reader's Guide Full Text is a database that indexes and abstracts more than 240 of the most popular general-interest periodicals published in the United States and Canada, plus the full text of more than 120 of those periodicals. In addition to news and current events, it covers business, politics, sports and many other subjects. Indexing begins with 1983 and full text coverage begins in January 1994 for most titles.


Refworks citation management software allows you to collect and organize citations from licensed library databases. You may use RefWorks to organize citations by project, export the citations in a variety of formats, and produce blibliographies.


RIA Checkpoint provides primary tax materials along with RIA's robust search engine, WG&L tax journals and news of interest to tax practitioners. In addition to the basic Checkpoint product, the BU Law Library is pleased to provide searchable integrated access to two leading treatises: Bittker and Lokken’s Federal Taxation of Income, Estates and Gifts and Bittker and Eustice’s Federal Income Taxation of Corporations and Shareholders. For example, when viewing a section of the Internal Revenue Code, a user can click on the appropriate icon to view commentary on that section from these authoritative treatises. BU Law students and faculty may customize Checkpoint by obtaining an individual login.


The Rules, provides by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, provides the electronic text of the rules of court for Massachusetts and the federal courts in Massachusetts.


Science Citation Index Expanded indexes 5300 journals in the sciences. Search keywords in the topic, title, abstract, author, or periodical title. Articles are linked to other related articles by topic or to articles citing a found item.


Science Direct is a Web-based information source for scientific, technical, and medical research offering access to more than 1100 full text electronic journals from 1995/96+ across 16 fields of science, including the social sciences.


The Securities Regulation & Law Report provides information on federal and state developments in the regulation of securities and futures trading and accounting, with objective coverage of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodities Futures Trading Commission, industry, courts, and Congress. Social Law Library provides numerous Massachusetts legal research materials such as case law, statutes, regulations, and administrative decisions.


The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) provides a searchable databases of abstracts for published and forthcoming research papers in the social sciences, including law, economics, and management. The Electronic Paper Collection includes full text of over 25,000 papers in .PDF format.


Social Sciences Full Text is a database that indexes and abstracts articles from more than 415 English-language periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere, plus the full text of over 115 of those periodicals. Coverage includes a wide range of interdisciplinary fields covered in a broad array of social sciences journals. Indexing coverage begins with periodicals published in February 1983. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.


Social Sciences Citation Index indexes 1700 periodicals in the social sciences. Search keywords in the topic, title, abstract, author, or periodical title. Articles are linked to other related articles by topic or to articles citing a found item.


Sociological Abstracts is a bibliographic database providing access to the world's literature in theoretical and applied sociology and related fields. It contains abstracts of journal articles from Sociological Abstracts since 1974, Social Planning/Policy and Development Abstracts (SOPODA) since 1979 and relevant dissertations since 1986.


State House News is a wire service that provides coverage of Massachusetts state government, including "gavel to gavel" coverage of legislative activities. News stories are archived to 1996, press releases received by the service are available back to 1997.


The State Session Laws via HeinOnline offers the state session laws of all 50 U.S. states as well as the federal laws of Australia and Canada from approximately 2000 to present.


Subject Compilation of State Laws provides access to books, articles, websites and other sources that provide 50 state surveys of laws by subject. Search or browse by subject, search by keyword, or browse individual volumes of the compilation.


Tax Management Library includes the Federal and Foreign Tax Management Portfolios. These are secondary material, but similar to law review articles; footnotes contain numerous citations to other sources. A significant feature of the online portfolios is that these footnotes provide links to other materials, including various primary materials. Tax Notes Today provides news, commentary, and analysis of developments in federal tax law. Contents include IRS regulations, IRS documents, as well as reports from other related U.S. government offices such as the GAO, CBO, and the JCT. TNT provides "all original full-text documents first, ahead of anyone else, and available in PDF format".


Thomas is a Web site operated by the Library of Congress to make federal legislative information freely available to the public.  This is a terrific site for finding up-to-the-minute summary, status, and text of a bill; House and Senate roll call votes; committee information; Public laws; Congressional Record; Congressional Record Index; and historical documents.   


Treaties and International Agreements Online (formerly TIARA Researcher) includes the full-text of all US treaties currently in force as well as citations to print resources.  To access this resource, select "Connect via IP Access" from the list of "Oceana Online" options. You will then be able to select Treaties & International Agreements on the next page.

The United Nations Law Collection via HeinOnline includes the United Nations Treaty Series  since 1946, the Monthly Statement of Treaties and International Agreements from 1983-current, and the United Nations Legislative Series which includes all 21 books from 1951-1985.  The collection also includes United Nations Juridical Yearbook, Official Records of the First, Second, and Third United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea with Final Act, the United Nations Conference on the Law of Treaties and the Treaty Handbook.


United Nations Official Document System provides comprehensive coverage of official U.N. documentation from 1993. Also includes selective coverage of General Assembly and Security Council documentation back to 1985.


U.N. Treaty Collection includes the U.N. Treaty Series, texts of recently deposited multilateral treaties as well as information on the Status of Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General. Treaties are available in full text and may be searched by keyword or popular name. This resource is now free.


The United States Law Week (USLW) database provides all issues of this periodical published since June 24, 1997. This publication provides information about key judicial, regulatory, and legislative developments in all areas of law in federal and state jurisdictions. Links to full text decisions in PDF format are provided from news stories. Supreme Court Today is a source for information about daily actions in the U.S. Supreme Court and contains summaries of all cases active since the beginning of the 1996-97 Supreme Court term. United States Patents contains abstracts of the approximately 1.7 million U.S. patents issued since 1975.


The United States Patents Quarterly (U.S.P.Q.), part of BNA's Intellectual Property Library, provides the full text of all decisions reported in United States Patents Quarterly from 1929 to the present, combined with finding aids to facilitate the search process.  The Library is designed to make finding the right intellectual property case fast and easy. United States Supreme Court Web site., the official web site. of the Court, provides information about the court and its judges, the automated docket or case tracking system for the court, the latest slip opinions of the court, as well as the bound volumes of the U.S. Reports from volume 502 to the present. Oral argument transcripts starting with October term 2000 are posted on this site within 10-15 business days after the argument date.


United States Supreme Court Records & Briefs Digital Archive contains PDF copies of briefs for cases from 1832 to 1978. It covers 150,000 cases and 350,000 documents, offering the most complete digital edition of these documents in PDF format. Search by case name or docket number.


Washlaw is a Web site maintained by Washburn University School of Law Library and provides a wealth of links to online legal information. 


Westlaw is a legal research database designed for law school students and faculty. It includes cases, statutes, and regulations from federal and state jurisdictions, selected legal materials from foreign jurisdictions, and extensive secondary materials such as treatises and law journal articles. Due to license restrictions, the law library can only provide access to current law school students, faculty, and staff.


Westlaw: Journals and Law Reviews contains full-text law journal articles. See the information icon online for a list of included journals.


Westlaw Database Directory. Use this database to determine whether a particular publication/source is available in Westlaw and the coverage dates. The directory is a hierarchical menu divided into broad research categories, such as "U.S. Federal" or "Law Reviews, Bar Journals & Legal Periodicals".


Wilson Business Full Text is a database that indexes and abstracts articles from more than 345 English-language periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere, including the leading business magazines and trade and research journals, plus the full text of over 160 of those periodicals. Indexing begins in July 1982. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.


The World Intellectual Property Report provides monthly news and analysis of developments in the regulation and enforcement of intellectual property rights worldwide. It includes information about the activities of the World Intellectual Property Association, World Trade Organization, and other international bodies.The Report includes information about changes in IP-related laws, treaties, proposals, enforcement actions, court cases, and more, including the full text of key documents. WorldTradeLaw.net is a comprehensive online search tool for information pertaining to the World Trade Organization (WTO).  Users can search the full text of reports, find terms by using the Case Law Index, or search dispute settlement commentaries that summarize and analyze cases that appeared before the GATT or the WTO.  Additional features include a keyword index and a searchable database of tables and statistical information.


World Wide Web Virtual Library: Law, operated by Indiana University School of Law- Bloomington , is part of the World Wide Web Virtual Library (a collection of subject-related Web sites maintained by institutions throughout the world with each institution administering a different subject area).  Materials in this site are organized by organization type (e.g., law schools, law firms, U.S. Government) and by legal topic (e.g., Contracts, Environmental law, Torts).


WorldCat contains more than 32 million records of items owned by libraries around the world, as well as the Boston University Libraries. Every item in the catalog has a listing of libraries which own it. It contains records for books, journals, musical scores, computer programs and much more. It does not include records for individual articles or stories in journals, magazines, newspapers or book chapters.
