Senior Year is an exciting time as you complete your undergraduate education and prepare to embark on a career. The timeline below can help you prepare for graduation and get your job search launched.
August
- Eligible May/September graduates receive an email from the Records Office including a letter with instructions and application for graduation
September
- Graduation review with ENG Records staff (ERB 108).
- Attend Senior Seminar
- Review Resume with CDO
October
- Attend Graduate School Seminar
- Attend Career Fair
- Early Consideration for the MEng Program
- Deadline for graduation applications
- Deadline to declare a concentration for graduating seniors
- Check BU Career Link for jobs, on-campus recruiting and company information sessions
November
- Apply to graduate school
- Continue to look for jobs with the help of the CDO Staff
December
- Deadline for experiential/project proposal approval for concentrations
- Talk to the CDO about networking and interviewing opportunities over winter break
January
- Winter Break
February
- Latin Honors determined
- Order of the Engineer Ceremony
- Graduation review with Records staff (January 2012 tentative graduates) (ERB 108)
- Attend Spring Career Fair
- Continue to check BU Career Link for jobs, on-campus recruiting and company information sessions
March
- Apply/nominate for a Senior Award
- Apply to be the student speaker at the engineering commencement ceremony
- Graduation website opens: Complete Task 1 (graduation info) by 4/2
- Attend CDO Industry Night for your major
April
- Graduation website: Task 2 opens on 4/13, Complete Task 2 by 4/27 - Cast your vote for Professor of the year.
- Graduation website: Task 3 opens on 4/20, Complete Task 3 by 5/4 - Tell us what your plans are for commencement weekend?
- Graduation website: Task 4 opens on 4/27, Complete Task 4 by 5/11 - What are your plans after graduation, do you have a job, are you going to graduate school?
- Graduation website: Task 5 opens on 4/27 Complete Task 5 by 5/11 - EBI survey about your engineering education.
