Event date: Saturday, October 19th

Start time & meeting location: 4:00pm, outside YAW (100 Bay State Rd)

Event duration: Approximately 5 hours (end around 8:30-9pm)

Event information: After meeting outside of YAW, we will head over via the MBTA Green Line to the Emerson Paramount Center in downtown Boston for a free screening of Future Date. This must-watch sci-fi movie, featured at the 2024 Boston Asian American Film Festival, dives into themes of love and human connection in our digital age—perfect for sparking deep conversations.

After the movie, we will have a complimentary dinner at a local restaurant so that we can discuss the movie’s themes over a warm meal. At this time, we will also engage in a fun reflective writing session as well as announce a writing contest where you can win a $100 gift card!

This all-inclusive event is totally FREE, so don’t miss out!

Please only sign up if you definitely plan to attend. Students who do not sign up or who cancel 48 hours or fewer before the event will not be eligible to participate in additional Writing Program trips.
