10/27 Dastangoi. The Art of Storytelling
Dastangoi is the art of traditional Urdu storytelling around the adventures of an Arab hero, Amir Hamza. These stories and the art form were very popular in the 19th century North India and have been revived in recent times. In this lecturedemonstration, India’s leading Dastangoi practitioner, Ankit Chadha, will discuss the journey of the art form and demonstrate some narratives.

3/27 Lowthorp & Gerety Performing Sanskrit Scripture in Kerala, India Talk.
The BU Program in Scripture and the Arts along with the BU Center for the Humanities hosted a lecture with Post Doctoral Fellow Leah Lowthorp, of Harvard University, and Professor Finnian M.M. Gerety, of Brown University. The event wasmoderated by Boston University’s Professor Frank Korom and took place on Monday, March 27th from 5:30-7:30 in the Photonics Colloquium Room (8 St. Mary’s Street).
Leah Lowthorp provided a workshop in Professor Kyna Hamill’s CFA TH 102 Dramatic Literature Course in CFA 104 (855 Commonwealth Ave). The lecture was open to the BU community.
