The Student Recruitment service supports undergraduate recruiting functions from initial lead generation (purchased lists of names or self-identified inquiries) through the application for undergraduate admission. The service combines the Salesforce CRM platform, Marketing Cloud, TargetX, and a suite of supporting applications to provide features and functionality to enhance the university’s relationship with prospective students and their families. The Student Recruitment service supports the recruitment of undergraduate students by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Future implementations are expected to expand use to other areas.


The Student Recruitment service improves capabilities for engaging and communicating with prospective students through modern, preference-based communication options, targeted and personalized recruiting campaigns, and event management capabilities.

  • Generates personalized, targeted communications by segmentation, including geographic region, citizenship, area of interest etc.
  • Tracks effectiveness of various recruiting campaigns and strategies through reporting of click rate, event registration, event attendance and other measures
  • Supports communication message automation by use of triggers such as prospect behavior and event triggers
  • Enables more effective event management practices including notification, registration and RSVP needs, event check-in and data collection methods
  • Creates many-to-many relationships between prospective students, parents, organizations and associated recruiters

What to Expect

This service normally will be available 24 by 7 except for standard change windows, as described in IS&T’s standard policies, procedures, and schedules for making changes.

Getting Started

Currently, access to the Student Recruitment service is limited to the Office of Enrollment and Student Administration (ENSA). Staff in those offices can contact their Departmental Security Administrator (DSA) or submit a request for access.
