Tuition, Fees & Aid
Please check back on December 15 for more details about our Summer 2019 programs.
In 2018, the total charge for a residential student was approximately $7500 and the total charge for a commuter student was approximately $4800. Summer 2019 program expenses will be posted on December 15.
A $1,000 non-refundable deposit (applied to tuition) is required once a student commits to attending RISE in order to secure his or her place in the program.
The application fee and spending money are not included in the total charge. You may also purchase a six-week membership to the Fitness and Recreation Center for an additional fee when you arrive on campus.
The Student Health Services fee is paid at the time of visit or is added to a student's account for each Student Health Services visit.
Limited financial aid is available for the Research in Science & Engineering (RISE) program. Please note that awards cover partial tuition only and are based on financial need. If you would like to be considered for financial aid, please enclose the following with your application:
- Pages 1 and 2 of your parents’ 2017 or 2018 Federal Income Tax Form. Note: tax forms must be mailed or faxed. Do not email or upload them. Social security numbers must be blocked out before faxing or mailing the form to our office.
- A letter from your parent describing your general financial situation and the particular circumstances that prevent you from paying the full tuition and fees.
Note: applications with financial aid requests are not considered complete until all materials, including financial aid documents, have been submitted. Admission decisions are made without regard to financial aid consideration.
