Poster Symposium

RISE Poster Symposium

At the end of the six-week program, RISE students prepare an abstract and poster for the Poster Symposium. The Poster Symposium offers students the chance to practice the essential skill of science communication in front of an audience comprised of those familiar with research as well as the general public.

Interns' fields of study include astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, medical laboratory research, neuroscience, physics, and psychology. Practicum students present research on a single topic, which in 2018 was computational neurobiology. Please take a look at a selection of posters from past years:
