  • Mindfulness Meditation Group

    This group, based on the Koru program, is designed for emerging adults to explore mindfulness meditation. Students are encouraged to share experiences and offer support to each other as they learn to integrate and practice mindfulness skills in their lives. Spring 26 meets Mondays, 5-6 pm.

    The Newbury Center supports the holistic development and success of first-generation undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. A first-gen undergrad is one whose parents/guardians/caregivers did not earn a 4-year bachelor's degree. A first-gen grad/professional student is one whose parents/guardians/caregivers did not earn an advanced degree like a master's, doctorate, or professional degree.

  • NITEO: A Leave of Absence Program

    A semester-long intensive program for young adults with mental health conditions who have had an interruption to their higher education via leave of absence. Program combines wellness and resiliency skill-building with academic instruction and coaching to assist students return successfully to their educational environments. * Fee based program

    This group is a safe space for students to share their experiences, seek support, and work to overcome challenges that come with eating disorder recovery and body image issues. Through education, mindfulness, conversation and connection, students will learn to honor their body and improve relationships with food and exercise. Spring 26 meets Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30 pm.

  • OCD Support Group

    This SHS group is for students struggling with OCD, obsessions and/or compulsions. The group focuses on providing psychoeducation, building skills and creating a safe space for students to share strategies in navigating college and life with OCD-related challenges. SPring 26 meets Thursdays 4:30-5:30 pm.

  • Physical Education Classes (PDPs)

    Physical Education (PDP) classes are open to BU full-time undergraduate and graduate students. Students may take up to two per semester for free. From swimming, to group fitness, to dance, there's something for everyone! Classes generally meet once or twice a week at varying times. Most classes are held at the Fitness and Recreation Center.
