Students Deliver Class Presentations
Students enrolled in SPH’s two-part series of courses on academic writing, A Guided Epidemiologic Study (EP816) and Research Dissemination Seminar (PH880), have the opportunity to develop an original manuscript suitable for inclusion in a peer-reviewed journal, if they choose to pursue publication. Under the guidance of Koichiro Shiba, the course instructor and an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology, the students work in small groups to develop a research question, conduct a literature review, perform analysis of real-world data, summarize their results in writing, and present their findings to an audience of their peers.
